RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA Af~A APPROVING <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION'. APPLICATION <br />NO. 2009-05 TO PLACE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />2420 NORTH VALENCIA AVENUE, SANTA ANA ON THE <br />HISTORICAL REGISTER AND APPROVING HISTORIC <br />REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2009-05 PLACING <br />SAID PROPERTY WITHIN THE CONTRIBUTIVE <br />CATEGORY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Historic Resources Commissian of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. On October 1, 2009, the Historic Resources Commission held a duly <br />• noticed public hearing for the placement qn the Santa Ana Register of <br /> Historical Properties (Historic Resources 'Commission Application No. <br /> 2009-05 and categorization (Historic Resources Commission <br /> Categorization No. 2009-05) of the Sorenson-Spielman House, located at <br /> 2420 North Valencia Avenue, Santa Ana. <br />B. The Sorenson-Spielman House was constructed in 1928 and is an English <br /> Revival style, <br />C. Character defining features of this structure include hipped gables, <br /> exterior materials such as wood shingles, and wood windows. <br />D. This home qualifies for designation as Contributive because it "is a good <br /> example of period architecture" and "contributes to the overall character <br /> and history" of the historically significant Park Santiago neighborhood. <br />E. The legal owners of the subject property ane Steve Paul & Nadine Louise <br /> Wareham. <br />F. The legal description for the subject property is attached hereto as Exhibit <br /> A and incorporated by this reference as though fully set forth herein. <br />G. The subject property meets the minimal standards for placement on the <br /> City of Santa Ana Register of Historic Properties pursuant to Section 30-2 <br /> of the Santa Ana Municipal Code. <br />• <br />Resolution No. 2009-09 <br />Page t of 4 <br />
