TO GOVERNMENT CODE § 6103 <br />• <br />EXEMPT FROM FEES PURSUANT <br />TO GOVERNMENT CODE § 6103 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2009-07~ <br />AK- 09/XXl09 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC, RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION' APPLICATION <br />NO. 2009-03 TO PLACE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />201 WEST FOURTH STREET, SANTA. ANA ON THE <br />HISTORICAL REGISTER AND APPROVING HISTORIC <br />REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 20p9-03 PLACING <br />SAID PROPERTY WITHIN THE CONTRIBUTIVE <br />CATEGORY <br />• <br />• <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. On October 1, 2009, the Historic Resources Commission held a duly <br />noticed public hearing for the placement pn the Santa Ana Register of <br />Historical Properties (Historic Resources (Commission Application No. <br />2009-03 and categorization (Historic Resources Commission <br />Categorization No. 2009-03) of the Fallas-ParedesNVoolworth's, located at <br />201 West Fourth Street, Santa Ana. <br />B. The Fallas-Paredes/Woolworth's building was built in 1952 in Art Moderne <br />style of architecture. It was not listed on the National Register of Historic <br />Places when the Downtown District was registered as its construction post <br />dated the period of significance for the Downtown. <br />C. However, this building is proposed for the Contributive category as "a <br />good example of period architecture" for its type and style, and it <br />"contributes to the overall character and history" of Downtown Santa Ana. <br />Character defining features of the building include fluted molding and <br />display windows. <br />D. The legal owner of the subject property is Fiesta Marketplace Partners. <br />E. The legal description for the subject property is attached hereto as Exhibit <br />A and incorporated by this reference as though fully set forth herein. <br />F. The subject property meets the minimal standards for placement on the <br />City of Santa Ana Register of Historic Properties pursuant to Section 30-2 <br />of the Santa Ana Municipal Code. <br />Resolution No. 2009-07 <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
