Quarterly Report for <br />Housing Choice Voucher Program: <br />July 2006 - September 2006 <br />December 4, 2006 <br />Page 4 <br />Participating families pay a portion of their monthly rent based upon <br />their income and the payment standard for their unit. The Housing <br />Authority pays the difference between the tenant portion and the contract <br />rent. This payment is the Housing Assistance Payment (HAP). <br />The average HAP for July through September 2006 was $716 per unit. The <br />total HAP paid in July through September was $5,077,806. <br />Production <br />HQS Inspections <br />Each assisted unit must be <br />inspected at least annually to 210 <br />ensure it meets the Housing Quality 205 <br />Standards (HQS) in compliance with 200 <br />federal guide -lines. From July to 195 <br />September, a total of 585 190 <br />inspections were performed.
