Adopt a resolution authorizing the Executive Director of the Public Works Agency to submit <br />projects for funding consideration under the Measure M Comprehensive Transportation <br />Funding Program. <br />2. Direct staff to amend the seven-year Capital Improvement Program to incorporate the <br />Comprehensive Transportation Funding Program projects list. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) has issued a call for projects under the <br />Measure M Comprehensive Transportation Funding Program for FY 11/12 through FY 13/14. <br />Funding in the amount of $56 million is available countywide in three funding program areas. The <br />programs designated for funding are: Arterial Capacity Enhancement (ACE), Intersection Capacity <br />Enhancement (ICE), and Freeway Arterial/Streets Transition (FAST). <br />The City of Santa Ana will be submitting four applications totaling $20.73 million in grant fund <br />requests. The City will utilize existing and future local funds and federal grants to provide the <br />required matching funds for the subject requested projects. <br />Staff is requesting authorization for the following projects, listed by funding program and fiscal <br />year(s): <br />RECOMMENDED PROJECTS <br />Bristol Street Widening: 3rd to Civic Center <br />Bristol Street Widening: Civic Center to 17th <br />Grand Avenue Widening: 1St to 4th <br />Grand & Edinger Intersection <br />Total <br />PROGRAM GRANT AMOUNT FY <br />ACE $6.33 Million 11/12 <br />ACE $12.61 Million 11/12-13/14 <br />ACE $1.00 Million 12/13 <br />ICE $0.79 Million 13/14 <br />$20.73 Million <br />55B-1
