(3) Protect the security of City property by keeping controller cabinet <br />and building doors locked at all times. <br />(4) Refrain from using locked premises for storage of materials, supplies <br />or tools, except as approved by the Director. <br />(5) Program normal irrigation between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 4:00 <br />a.m. <br />c) Water Conservation <br />(1) The Contractors Certified Irrigation Specialist shall meet once a <br />month with the Utility Coordinator to review the City's Monthly <br />Water Conservation Report (see Attachment 5 <br />(2) ) to discuss water conservation strategies. These discussions may <br />include, but not be limited to, the Contractor turning off irrigation <br />systems during periods of rainfall and times when suspension of <br />irrigation is desirable to conserve water while remaining within the <br />guidelines of the EAW. <br />(3) When the Utility Coordinator determines that plant material (turf, <br />groundcover, shrubs, and trees) must be irrigated, all controllers <br />shall be activated within twenty-four (24) hours. In the event the <br />controllers are not activated within 24 hours the City may charge <br />Contractor all staff cost incurred by City to activate controllers. <br />d) Inspection and Reporting <br />(1) The Contractor shall physically inspect the operation of all irrigation <br />systems once a month and prepare a written report specifying park <br />name, controller location/name, start times, run times, program <br />name, station number, and repairs needed. The Contractor shall <br />maintain all sprinkler systems using City standard irrigation products <br />and details. All repairs shall be to City specifications and details. <br />Repairs to irrigation heads shall be with matching precipitation <br />nozzles. Contractor shall ensure that excessive over spray /runoff <br />into street right -of -ways or other areas not intended to receive <br />irrigation is controlled. The Contractor shall repair at his own <br />expense any irrigation head and lateral line rendered inoperable or <br />malfunctioning due to attrition vandalism, etc. <br />(2) Contractor shall perform a visual inspection of all irrigated areas <br />once per week. All areas receiving marginal coverage shall receive <br />supplemental irrigation by being irrigated by a portable irrigation <br />method. The contractor shall furnish all portable hoses, nozzles, <br />sprinklers, etc., necessary to accomplish this additional irrigation. <br />19 <br />__ 25H -27 <br />
