Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute the attached agreements, <br />subject to nonsubstantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney: <br />• Alianza Legal Hispana for acquisition settlement for the business located at 828 N. Bristol <br />Street, Suite 105 in the amount of $26,390. <br />• JLT Enterprises for acquisition settlement for the business located at 828 N. Bristol Street <br />Suite 100 in the amount of $21,995. <br />DISCUSSION <br />On March 6, 2006, the City Council approved the cooperative agreement between the City and <br />the Orange County Transportation Authority to fund Bristol Street improvements from Warner <br />Avenue to Seventeenth Street. The first phase of the project, between Pine Street and <br />McFadden Avenue, is under construction and is expected to be completed by April 2011. Public <br />Works is acquiring property for the second phase of the project, between Third Street and Civic <br />Center Drive, as well as the intersection of Bristol Street and Warner Avenue. <br />To accommodate the widening for the second phase, the entire property located at 828 N. Bristol <br />was acquired in November 2010 (Exhibit 1). This acquisition also necessitates the relocation of <br />all tenants in the building. Alianza Legal Haspana and JLT Enterprises are two of the tenants <br />that have agreed to the settlement agreements for their relocation benefits. The compensation <br />amounts are the appraised values prepared by an appraiser licensed by the State of California. <br />25H-1
