Agreement Number: <br />AGREEMENT FOR TRANSFER OR PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT/SERVICES OR FOR <br />REIMBURSEMENT OF TRAINING COSTS <br />FOR FY2010 URBAN AREAS SECURITY INITIATIVE (UASI) <br />BETWEEN <br />THE CITY OF ANAHEIM <br />AND THE CITYOF BUENA PARK <br />THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this 8 day of December, 2010, by and <br />between the CITY OF ANAHEIM, a municipal corporation (the "CITY"), and the CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA (the "SUB-RECIPIENT" or "Contractor"). <br />WITNESSETH <br />WHEREAS, CITY, acting through the Anaheim Police Department in its capacity <br />as a Core City for the Anaheim/Santa Ana Urban Area under the FY10 Urban Areas <br />Security Initiative, has applied for, received and accepted a grant entitled "FY 2010 <br />Urban Areas Security Initiative" from the federal Department Of Homeland Security - <br />Office of Grants and Training, through the State of California Emergency Management <br />Agency, to enhance countywide emergency preparedness (the "grant"), as set forth in <br />the grant guidelines and assurances that are incorporated to this Agreement by <br />reference and located at: <br />http://www.fema.y-ov/pdf/government/grant/2010/f?10 hsgp kit pdf <br />http://www.calema.ca.mov/WebPage/oeswebsite nsf/ClientOESFileLibrary/Homela <br />nd%20Security%20Files/$file/FYIOHSGPSupplementGuidance pdf <br />Copies of the grant guidelines shall be retained in the Anaheim/Santa Ana <br />Grant Office. <br />WHEREAS, this financial assistance is administered by the CITY OF ANAHEIM <br />("CITY") and is overseen by the California Emergency Management Agency ("Cal- <br />EMA"); and <br />WHEREAS, this financial assistance is being provided to address the unique <br />equipment, training, planning, and exercise needs of large urban areas, and to assist <br />them in building an enhanced and sustainable capacity to prevent, respond to, and <br />recover from threats or acts of terrorism; and <br />WHEREAS, the Anaheim/Santa Ana Urban Area ("ASAUX) consists of 34 cities <br />in Orange County, including the City of Anaheim and the City of Santa Ana, the County <br />of Orange, including the unincorporated area of the County of Orange, Santa Ana <br />School Police, California State University, Fullerton, University of California, Irvine, and <br />the Orange County Fire Authority; and <br />1 <br />20A-6
