Agreement with Hill International for <br />First Street Bridge Construction Management Services <br />Over the Santa Ana River <br />March 21, 2011 <br />Page 2 <br />The proposal from Hill International was highly rated based on its detailed scope of services, <br />understanding of the project, qualifications, and experience with similar projects. It was the <br />top-ranked firm based on technical merit. Hill submitted a fee proposal in the amount of <br />$1,179,750. Staff has negotiated the fee and agreed to a fee in an amount that will not exceed <br />$967,500. This includes a 1.7 percent contingency fund to compensate Hill if the construction <br />contract exceeds 24 months. Staff recommends Hill International, Inc. be retained for the <br />project.
