■ 001A I V A. <br />MEETING DATE: <br />FEBRUARY 7, 2005 <br />TITLE: <br />AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH <br />NATIONAL CREDIT REPORTING <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />�gucalioq iet <br />RECORDING SECRETARY USE ONLY: <br />APPROVED <br />❑ As Recommended <br />❑ As Amended <br />CONTINUED TO <br />Direct the Authority General Counsel to prepare and authorize the <br />Executive Director to execute an amendment to the agreement between the <br />Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana and National Credit Reporting <br />Z <br />or an additional amount of $20,000 for a total contract not to exceed <br />$30,000. <br />COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING COMMISSION <br />TION <br />Recommended that the Housing Authority direct the Authority General <br />Counsel to prepare and authorize the Executive Director to execute an <br />amendment to the agreement between the Housing Authority of the City of <br />Santa Ana and National Credit Reporting for an additional amount of <br />$20,000 for a total contract not to exceed $30,000. <br />By a vote of 6:0 (Turner absent) at its Regular Meeting of January 18, <br />2005. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Housing Choice <br />Voucher rental assistance program depends upon complete and accurate <br />disclosure of clients' income sources, expenses, and criminal history. <br />HUD requires local Housing Authorities to screen all applicants for drug - <br />related and violent criminal activity, and for lifetime Sex Offender <br />,egistration. The Housing Authority has contracted with National Credit <br />Reporting to provide this information via their web -based service. <br />
