MEETING DATE: <br />DECEMBER 5, 2005 <br />TITLE: <br />AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH <br />NATIONAL CREDIT REPORTING <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />gaunst�a,� lst <br />RECORDING SECRETARY USE ONLY: <br />APPROVED <br />❑ As Recommended <br />❑ As Amended <br />CONTINUED TO <br />Direct the Housing Authority Attorney to prepare and authorize the <br />Executive Director to execute a second amendment to the agreement between <br />the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana and National Credit <br />Reporting for an additional $15,000 for a total contract not to exceed <br />$45,000. <br />COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION <br />Recommended that the Housing Authority direct the Housing Authority <br />Attorney to prepare and authorize the Executive Director to execute a <br />second amendment to the agreement between the Housing Authority of the <br />City of Santa Ana and National Credit Reporting for an additional $15,000 <br />for a total contract not to exceed $45,000. <br />By a vote of 4:0 at its Regular Meeting of November 15, 2005. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Housing Choice <br />Voucher Rental Assistance Program depends upon complete and accurate <br />disclosure of program participants' income sources, expenses, and <br />criminal history. HUD requires local Housing Authorities to screen all <br />applicants for drug - related and violent criminal activity and for <br />lifetime Sex Offender registration. <br />
