The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. On October 2, 2008, the Historic Resources Commission held a duly <br />noticed public hearing for the placement on the Santa Ana Register of <br />Historical Properties (Historic Resources Commission Application No. <br />2008-24) and categorization (Historic Resources Commission <br />Categorization No. 2008-24) of the Peterson House, located at 1138 West <br />Sharon Road, Santa Ana. <br />B. The Peterson House, constructed in 1954, is a single-story Mid-Century <br />Modern style (Wood variant) house located in the Fisher Park <br />neighborhood. <br />C. This home qualifies for listing on the Santa Ana Register of Historical <br />Properties and is eligible for categorization as Key because it "has a <br />distinctive architectural style and quality" as an excellent example of the <br />Modern style. <br />D. Character defining features of this house include the low sloping roof style, <br />thin poles set at angles at the garage canopy, and large glass panes in the <br />windows. <br />• <br />E. The legal owners of the subject property are John & Jane Lewis. <br />F. The legal description for the subject property is attached hereto as Exhibit <br />A and incorporated by this reference as though fully set forth herein. <br />G.
