IV VVVCRIV IYICIVI VVI/Lyv ~.~ <br />• <br />EXEMPT FROM FEES PURSUANT <br />TO GOVERNMENT CODE § 6103 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-26 <br />KO -8/28108 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION <br />NO. 2008-23 TO PLACE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />2207 NORTH FLOWER STREET, SANTA ANA ON THE <br />HISTORICAL REGISTER AND APPROVING HISTORIC <br />REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2008-23 PLACING <br />SAID PROPERTY WITHIN THE CONTRIBUTIVE <br />CATEGORY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />• A. On September 4, 2008, the Historic Resources Commission held a duly <br />noticed public hearing for the placement on the Santa Ana Register of <br />Historical Properties (Historic Resources Commission Application No. <br />2008-23) and categorization (Historic Resources Commission <br />Categorization No. 2008-23) of the Ranney House, located at 2207 North <br />Flower Street, Santa Ana. <br />B. The Ranney House, was constructed in 1935, and is an English Revival <br />styled home. <br />C. The building is topped with a steep gabled roofline, and has horizontal <br />wood siding cladding the gable ends. The remainder of the exterior of the <br />home is stucco. <br />D. The Ranney House will be listed as contributive since it is a "good <br />example of period architecture" and "contributes to the overall character <br />and history" of Santa Ana. <br />E. Character defining features include exterior materials, roof configuration, <br />and scalloped trim accenting the gables <br />F. The legal owners of the subject property are Michael and Resa McGowan. <br />G.
