EXEMPT FROM FEES PURSUANT <br />TO GOVERNMENT CODE § 6103 <br />1/ 11 <br />u <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-17 <br />KO -5/29/08 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION <br />NO. 2008-15 TO PLACE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />1110 SOUTH BIRCH STREET, SANTA ANA ON THE <br />HISTORICAL REGISTER AND APPROVING HISTORIC <br />REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2008-15 PLACING <br />SAID PROPERTY WITHIN THE CONTRIBUTIVE <br />CATEGORY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />• A. On June 5, 2008, the Historic Resources Commission held a duly noticed <br />public hearing for the placement on the Santa Ana Register of Historical <br />Properties (Historic Resources Commission Application No. 2008-15) and <br />categorization (Historic Resources Commission Categorization No. 2008- <br />15) of the Lewis House, located at 1110 South Birch Street, Santa Ana. <br />B. The Lewis House was constructed in 1930, and is an intact example of <br />Mission/Spanish Colonial Revival style of architecture and qualifies for <br />listing on the Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties and <br />categorization as Contributive. <br />C. This modest single-story home qualifies for designation because it <br />"contributes to the overall character and history' of Santa Ana, and is a <br />"good example of period architecture." <br />D. Character defining features of this house include smooth stucco cladding, <br />three pipe vents, front fagade with six-over-six windows, and a parabolic <br />picture window facing the front. <br />E. The legal owner of the subject property is Linda Roslund. <br />F. The legal description for the subject property is attached hereto as Exhibit <br />A and incorporated by this reference as though fully set forth herein. <br />G. The subject property meets the minimal standards for placement on the <br />City of Santa Ana Register of Historic Properties pursuant to Section 30-2 <br />• of the Santa Ana Municipal Code. <br />Resolution No. 2008-17 <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
