I U CiUVtKNMtN I GVUt $ bl U6 <br />EXEMPT FROM FEES PURSUANT <br />TO GOVERNMENT CODE § 6103 <br />• RESOLUTION NO. 2007-25 <br />KO -9/26/07 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION <br />NO. 2007-18 TO PLACE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />1907 NORTH FLOWER STREET, SANTA ANA ON THE <br />HISTORICAL REGISTER AND APPROVING HISTORIC <br />REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2007-18 PLACING <br />SAID PROPERTY WITHIN THE KEY CATEGORY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. On October 4, 2007, the Historic Resources Commission held a duly <br /> noticed public hearing for the placement on the Santa Ana Register of <br />• Historical Properties (Historic Resources Commission Application No. <br /> 2007-18) and categorization (Historic Resources Commission <br /> Categorization No. 2007-18) of the Bower House, located at 1907 North <br /> Flower Street, Santa Ana. <br />B. The Bower House was constructed in 1930 and is an intact example of <br /> Mission/Spanish Colonial Revival styled architecture. <br />C. It qualifies for listing on the Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties as <br /> Key. This two story home qualifies for designation because it "has a <br /> distinctive architectural style and quality", as an example of Spanish <br /> Colonial Revival architecture. <br />D. Character defining features of this house include Mission the roofing with <br /> shallow pitch, wrought iron balcony, and horseshoe covered arch at the <br /> front porch. <br />E. The legal owners of the subject property are Kenneth J. and Leah M <br /> Schimidt. <br />F. The legal description for the subject property is attached hereto as Exhibit <br /> A and incorporated by this reference as though fully set forth herein. <br />G. The subject property meets the minimal standards for placement on the <br /> City of Santa Ana Register of Historic Properties pursuant to Section 30-2 <br />• of the Santa Ana Municipal Code. <br />Resolution No. 2007-25 <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
