2. Provide a crew at Santiago Park Monday -Thursday with the exception of <br />Major Holiday's. <br />3. Remove non-native plants species to fulfill the project guidelines. <br />4. Provide an OCCC contact person to coordinate and successfully complete <br />work/leam projects. <br />5. Provide OCCC staff and CorpsMembers to carry out assigned work/leam <br />projects that may include the following: removing non-native species of <br />plants; planting native species of plants. <br />6. Augment the cost of the CorpsMembers & OCCC staff labor through the <br />existing approved Orange County Workforce Investment Board Grant. <br />7. Carry out other duties and projects as mutually agreed. <br />The City aorees to: <br />1 . Provide work/leam projects that provide hands-on job training and <br />educational experiences for OCCC CorpsMembers beginning 03/28/2011 up <br />to 06/30/2011. <br />2. Provide a contact person to coordinate assigned work/leam projects. <br />3. Provide additional training, mentoring, or coaching to OCCC CorpsMembers <br />by The City staff and team members to further enhance and improve <br />CorpsMembers' work/leam experiences. <br />4. Provide training for OCCC CorpsMembers to include but not be limited to: <br />weed removal, plant identification, and other on the job training as needed. <br />5. Assist the OCCC with obtaining additional future grant funding to mutually <br />benefit both organizations. <br />6. Include the OCCC name and logo in a co -marketing effort to provide both <br />parties greater public relations exposure. <br />Independent Contractor <br />OCCC shall, during the entire term of this MOU, be construed to be an independent <br />contractor and not an employee of The City. This MOU is not intended nor shall it be <br />construed to create an employer-employee relationship, a joint venture relationship, or to <br />allow The City to exercise discretion or control over the professional manner in which OCCC <br />performs the services which are the subject matter of this MOU; however, the services to be <br />provided by OCCC shall be provided in a manner consistent with all applicable standards <br />and regulations governing such services. OCCC shall pay all salaries and wages, employers <br />social security taxes, unemployment insurance and similar taxes relating to employees and <br />shah be responsible for all applicable withholding taxes. <br />Insurance <br />Prior to undertaking performance of work under this MOU, OCCC shall maintain and shall <br />require its subcontractors, if any, to obtain and maintain insurance as described below: <br />
