Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Award a contract to Signature Contractors, the lowest responsible bidder, in accordance with <br />unit bid prices in the estimated amount of $113,677.20 for replacement of the Centennial Park <br />Restroom Roof. <br />2. Approve a Funding Analysis with a total estimated construction cost of $138,071. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The existing restroom facilities at Centennial Park were constructed over 25 years ago and have <br />slowly deteriorated due to the adverse effect of weather and age (Exhibit 1). Funding is now <br />available to renovate the exterior of the facilities, which will include removing the existing wood roof <br />and columns and replacing them with a new metal roof and concrete columns, and installation of <br />new exterior security lighting. Once completed, the new restroom metal roof and concrete columns <br />will match the picnic shelters throughout Centennial Park and the added lighting will increase the <br />safety of the area. <br />The Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on March 25 and 26, 2011 and bids were opened on April <br />12, 2011.
