RESOLUTION NO. 2011- <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF <br />PROJECTS TO ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION <br />AGENCY FOR FUNDING UNDER THE COMPETITIVE <br />MEASURE M2 ENVIRONMENTAL CLEANUP PROGRAM <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, <br />determines and declares as follows: <br />A. The Orange County Transportation Agency (OCTA) has authorized <br />Measure M2 Environmental Cleanup Program funding, for projects <br />which help to protect Orange County beaches and waterways from <br />transportation-generated pollution (urban runoff) and improve <br />overall water quality; and <br />B. The OCTA Tier 1 Grant Program will fund the purchase and <br />installation of catch basin screens, filters, inserts and "street-scale" <br />low flow diversion projects, consistent with Best Management <br />Practices; and <br />C. The projects included in the Santa Ana Citywide Catch Basin <br />Screen Installation Project are eligible projects for Measure M2 <br />Environmental Cleanup Program, Tier 1 funding; and <br />D. The City of Santa Ana has been declared by the Orange County <br />Transportation Authority to meet the eligibility requirements to <br />receive Measure M2 funds; and <br />E. The City will provide matching funds for each project as required by <br />the Comprehensive Transportation Funding Programs Procedures <br />Manual. <br />Section 2: The City Council of the City of Santa Ana authorizes the <br />Executive Director of the Public Works Agency to submit five applications to the <br />OCTA for Measure M2 Environmental Cleanup Program funding in the amount of <br />One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000) each, to complete five catch basin <br />projects to reduce/recover urban runoff. <br />EXHIBIT 2 <br />5501-5
