Will be available, when not responding to particular requests for repair services, to <br />provide as-needed MAC services as directed by the City Telecommunications <br />Coordinator. <br />¦ Repair and MAC priorities will be determined by the City Telecommunications <br />Coordinator. <br />¦ Performance of MAC work during normal assigned hours will not incur any <br />additional charge to the City. <br />¦ Should be capable of creating and modifying a mailbox on the CENTIGRAM <br />Voicemail System and performing a system backup. <br />• Have a working knowledge of, skills in, and experience with Category 5 cabling and <br />termination in accordance with the Electronic Industries Association/ <br />Telecommunications Industry Association (EIA/TIA) standard practices. <br />¦ Evidence of any related training to be presented to the City Telecommunications <br />Coordinator as part of the proposal package that is submitted. <br />In addition: <br />• Should the assigned technician be absent or unavailable, the Vendor will provide an <br />equally qualified and certified replacement technician. <br />• The City reserves the right to review and approve the assignment of the dedicated <br />technician if replacement (either temporary or permanent) of the existing technician is <br />required. <br />• The assigned technician's work hours may be adjusted by the City Telecommunications <br />Coordinator from 8-5 on an as needed basis with prior notice to the Vendor to allow <br />necessary work to be done during a period with less impact on the City's business <br />operations. <br />• If the Vendor elects at their choice to use more than one service technician to perform <br />a task, there will not be any additional cost to the City. <br />• Work outside the scope of work of this Proposal will be billed at agreed-upon service <br />rates and only when authorized in advance by the City Telecommunications <br />Coordinator or his/her designee. <br />5.4 Event Monitoring Service for NEAX2400IPX <br />Part A - NEC Systems <br />The Vendor shall provide, install and maintain, at no additional charge to the City, an Event <br />Monitoring Service (with associated equipment) to each of the City's NEC NEAX 2400IPX <br />systems or like systems. <br />• The Event Monitoring Service shall monitor for system alarms and environmental <br />conditions and connectivity provided by the City. <br />• The Vendor shall continuously monitor the output of these Event Monitoring units on a <br />twenty-four (24) hour per day, seven (7) days per week, fifty-two (52) weeks per year <br />basis and will take prompt corrective action when an irregularity/problem is detected. <br />25A-18
