25C ALLOCATION OF WORKFORCE INVESTMENT ACT FORMULA YOUTH <br />FUNDS FOR PROGRAM YEAR 2011-12 AND YOUTH SERVICE <br />PROVIDER NAVIGATOR MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING TERM <br />EXTENSION - Community Development Agency <br /> <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTIONS: <br /> <br />1. Approve and authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council <br />to execute contracts for Workforce Investment Act Formula Youth <br />funding of the following Youth Program Operators for Program <br />Year (PY) 2011-2012, for a total of $668,000, for the period of July <br />1, 2011 through June 30, 2012: <br /> <br />? <br /> AGMT – With Taller San Jose to provide work experience, <br />occupational skills training, supportive services, counseling, job <br />preparation, and placement to 25 Out-of-School Youth in the <br />amount of $150,000; <br /> <br />? <br /> AGMT – With Santa Ana Public Library to provide post secondary <br />occupational skills training, work experience, leadership <br />development, and supportive services for 12 In-School Youth and 8 <br />Out-of-School youth in the amount of $150,000; <br /> <br />? <br /> AGMT – With Orange County Conservation Corps to provide work <br />experience, alternative secondary education, post-secondary <br />education resources, and supportive services for 23 Out-of-School <br />Youth in the amount of $218,000; <br /> <br />? <br /> AGMT – With Orange County Children’s Therapeutic Arts Center to <br />provide tutoring, work experience, occupational skills training, job <br />preparation, supportive services, mentoring, and counseling for 25 <br />Out-of-School Youth in the amount of $150,000 <br /> <br />2. AGMT - Extend the term of the Memorandum of Understanding <br />with the Santa Ana WORK Center for the Youth Service <br />Provider Navigator service to June 30, 2012 and allocate <br />funding in the amount of $317,745 from Program Year 2011-12 <br />funds. <br /> <br /> <br />25D AGMT - FUND ALLOCATION FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF <br />NEIGHBORHOOD STABILIZATION PROGRAM 3 TO ASSIST <br />NEIGHBORHOODS IMPACTED BY FORECLOSED OR ABANDONED <br />PROPERTIES - With ANR Homes, Inc. in an amount not to exceed <br />$1,317,703 plus program income - Community Development Agency <br /> <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL AGENDA 9 JUNE 20, 2011 <br /> <br /> <br />
