Increased adult resident-led advocacy for local health and public safety systems <br />reforms in central Santa Ana, as evidenced by provision of the Parent Academy program <br />at 6 BHC community-based locations; a minimum of 150 central Santa Ana adults <br />graduating from the Parent Academy program; a 15% increase in trust in local law <br />enforcement, as measured by pre- and post-program surveys administered to participants; <br />and strengthened partnerships between SAPD and at least 5 civic groups and/or faith- <br />based organizations. <br />3. Increased teen-led advocacy for local health and public safety systems reforms in <br />central Santa Ana, as evidenced by provision of the Teen Academy program at 4 BHC <br />community-based locations; a minimum of 100 central Santa Ana youth graduating from <br />the Teen Academy program; a 20% increase in trust in local law enforcement, as <br />measured by pre- and post-program surveys administered to participating youth and their <br />parents; and strengthened partnerships between SAPD and at least 5 civic groups and/or <br />faith-based organizations. <br />4. Improved capacity of SAPD to adjust Department practices and priorities according to <br />the interests and concerns of neighborhood residents, as evidenced by analysis of the trust <br />surveys administered to program participants; regular updates to the SABHC hub steering <br />committee on progress, challenges, and leamings of the SAPD programs; and monthly <br />briefings to the Police Chief and Deputy Chiefs on the youth and adult participants' <br />comments and suggestions regarding public safety and the role of the SAPD. <br />IV. AMOUNT OF GRANT <br />$61,144, payable as follows. <br />$61,144 upon The Endowment's receipt of this executed Agreement. <br />First payment is contingent upon receipt of this original signed Agreement. <br />V. PERIOD OF GRANT <br />Grant funds are to be applied to expenses incurred for the period from March 1, 2011 to <br />February 29, 2012, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by The Endowment. <br />VI. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF GRANT <br />Grantee agrees that the grant is subject to the following conditions: <br />A. Expenditure of Grant Funds <br />1. Use of Funds. Grantee must spend the grant funds only for the purposes <br />described above. <br />2. Prohibited Uses.
