Leighton Consulting <br />(A6) Environmental Services <br />• Permits and Licenses: Leighton will be responsible for procuring all applicable permits and <br />maintaining the necessary licenses/registrations to carry out our duties. We are familiar <br />with the City's requirements, will comply with applicable federal, state and local laws and <br />requirements, and all additional requirements as listed in the RFP. <br />• Underground Service Alert (USA)/Trafflc control: A minimum of 48 hours prior to <br />conducting any subsurface Investigation, proposed boring/excavation locations will be <br />marked In white paint and Underground Service Alert (USA) will be contacted to obtain an <br />inquiry (DigAlert) identification number. Where necessary, traffic control plans will be <br />prepared and Implemented (barricades, flashingslgns, etc) with A Cone Zone. Traffic <br />control measures will be included In the HSP and discussed with the City prior to <br />implementation. <br />• Project Diary: Field Memorandums, or Project Diaries, will be completed for each day of <br />field activity. The diary will be updated throughout the work day, documenting pertinent <br />information on project tasks, field observations, and decisions, and will be signed by the <br />preparer as true and correct at the completion of the day. <br />• Decontamination/Olsposel and Manifesting: All field equipment, including drilling and <br />sampling equipment, that may come in contact with potentially contaminated soil or <br />groundwater will be decontaminated before use and between sampling points by washing <br />in a mixture of Ilqulnox (or similar) and water, rinsing In potable water and final rinsing with <br />delonized and allowed to air-dry. All investigation derived waste (IDW) and <br />soil/groundwater generated during field Investigations will be contained in 55 -gallon DOT <br />approved drums, appropriately labeled, and transported under manifest to the accepting <br />waste handling facility. Waste transport and disposal will be subcontracted to Belshire <br />Environmental Services. All waste manifests will be signed by the City prior to <br />transportation of the waste. Leighton will not store any hazardous substances for more <br />than 90 days, will not permit accumulations of hazardous substances In excess of the <br />small quantity generator exclusion provided in 40 CFR Part 261, and will report any <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA I RIGHT OF WAY CONSULTING AND RELATED SERVICES 1 ''s <br />
