COMMENTS <br />90A CITY MANAGER'S COMMENTS - None <br />90B CITY COUNCILMEMBER COMMENTS <br />Councilmember Tinajero: <br />• Attended last Youth Commission meeting; impressed with enthusiasm; <br />• Invited all to attend the "Defenders of Liberty" video presentation on <br />Friday, July 1St at 7 p.m. at the Main Library; Youth Commission and <br />Library Teen Space hosting VIP reception prior to video presentation. <br />Councilmember Benavides: <br />Invited all to attend the special video presentation at the Main Library; and <br />Wished all a Happy 4th of July and encouraged all to attend the 3rd of July <br />event at Centennial Park. <br />Councilmember Martinez: <br />• Congratulated all graduating high school seniors and college students; <br />• Requested assistance in finding new location for El Centro Cultural de <br />Mexico; <br />• City to conduct tour of City trees and bike tour of trails; and <br />• Will be attending NALEO Conference with Mayor Pro Tem Alvarez and <br />Councilmember Sarmiento; topic of redistricting. <br />Mayor Pulido: <br />• Thanked Councilmembers Bustamante and Benavides for personal <br />monetary contribution towards 3rd of July event; <br />• Attended U.S. Conference of Mayors; cities throughout country financially <br />distressed - consequence is creative approach to re-engineering, <br />effective use of funds, how to deliver services, and efficient use of <br />technology; City and others have reopened negotiations with labor <br />groups; and <br />• Upcoming Work Study would tour City trees and bike trails; and <br />• Announced that the Regular Meeting of the City Council scheduled for <br />July 5, 2011 was cancelled; the next regularly scheduled meeting will be <br />July 18th <br />ADJOURNED - 7:22 P.M. - The next meeting of the City Council is scheduled for Monday, <br />July 18, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. for the Closed Session Meeting immediately <br />followed by the Regular Open Business Meeting in the Council Chamber, <br />22 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, California. <br />Maria D.
