Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute the attached agreement with Civic <br />Collections, Inc. not to exceed the amount of $100,000 for an additional one year term. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Civic Collections, Inc.(CCI) is the city's collection agency for delinquent dog license fees, penalties, and <br />new dog license fees. Under the terms of the agreement, CCI is compensated in the amount of fifty <br />percent for each dog license fee collected, fifty cents for each new dog license sold, and fifty cents for <br />each rabies vaccination certificate issued. CCI is projected to generate $120,000 for the city during the <br />fiscal year based on current estimates. Staff recommends the renewal of this agreement as CCI has <br />performed satisfactorily during the previous agreement period. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Approval of the recommended action will enhance the Dog License revenue account (account no. <br />01114002-51003) as funds are received. <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br />Paul M.
