Nor shall grant funds be used to pay salary or expenses of any grantee or agent <br />acting for such grantee, related to any activity designed to influence legislation or appropriations <br />pending before the Congress. <br />XXIII---PUBLIC ANNOUCEMENTS <br />When issuing statements, press releases, requests for proposals, bid solicitation, and <br />other documents describing project or programs funded in whole or in part with Federal money, <br />Contractor shall clearly state (1) the percentage of the total cost of the program or project which <br />will be financed with Federal money, and (2) the dollar amount of federal funds for the project or <br />program. <br />XXIV--- BUY AMERICAN NOTICE REQUIREMENT <br />It is the sense of Congress that to the greatest extent practicable, all equipment and products <br />purchased with funds made available with these appropriated funds, should be American made. <br />See also WIA section 505-Buy American Requirements. <br />XXV -- GRIEVANCES AND COMPLAINT SYSTEM <br />A. Contractor shall maintain a grievance and complaint procedures in compliance with <br />the WIA, federal regulation and state statues, regulation and policy. <br />B. Contractor shall preliminarily investigate all complaints of clients enrolled in the CA <br />Multi-Sector Partnership Project and notify the SBWIB, Inc.'s Chief Executive Officer of the status of <br />the investigation within five (5) business days of receiving the complaint. <br />C. When complaints cannot be resolved informally, a system of follow-through shall be <br />instituted which adheres to formal plan for specific actions and strict time deadlines. <br />D. Copies of all written complaint response shall be sent to the SBWIB, Inc.'s Chief <br />Executive Officer within five (5) business days of mailing to the complaint <br />E. Contractor shall not discriminate or retaliate against any person, or deny to any person <br />23 <br />20D-25
