As Recommended <br />Fo <br />As Amended <br />Ordinance on 1St Reading <br />Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />Implementing Resolution <br />Set Public Hearing <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Authorize the acceptance of a donation in the amount of $1,000 from the Target Stores, to be <br />used by the Police Department National Night Out event. <br />2. Approve an appropriation adjustment recognizing the donation in the amount of $1,000 into the <br />Police Special Revenue Fund, Gifts and Donations revenue account (no. 02414002-57081) and <br />appropriate same into the Police Special Revenue Fund, Operating Materials and Supplies <br />expenditure account (no. 02414400-63001). <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Target Stores and Police Department participate in the National Night Out event, a unique <br />crime/drug prevention event to heighten awareness, generate neighborhood sprit and organize <br />support for local anticrime programs. This year's event a free community event was held at Madison <br />Elementary School. Target Stores desires to support local law enforcement and impact the local <br />community in a positive manner by donating $1,000 to the Police Department. This donation will be <br />used by the Police Department in support of National Night Out. These funds will be used to <br />purchase food and supplies for the event. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Approval of the appropriation adjustment will enhance the Police Special Revenue Fund, Gifts and <br />Donations revenue account (no. 02414002-57081) by $1,000 and appropriate same into the Police <br />Special Revenue Fund, Operating Materials and Supplies account (no. 02414400-63001). <br />CVL1,t, Paul M.
