Set Public Hearing For_ <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Approve an appropriation adjustment accepting the State of California Office of Emergency Services <br />2007 Anti-gang Initiative Supplemental Grant Funds in the amount of $3,615 into the revenue <br />account (account no.15514002-52001) and appropriate same into the California Office of <br />Emergency Services 2007 Anti-gang Initiative Supplemental Grant Program expenditure accounts <br />(account no.15514413-62120). <br />DISCUSSION <br />On January 10, 2010, Council accepted the State of California, Office of Emergency Services, Anti- <br />Gang Initiative Supplemental Grant funds in the amount $25,000. Additional funding has been <br />made available to the Santa Ana Police Department in the amount of $3,615. As a participating <br />member of this grant program, the Santa Ana Police Department will receive the additional grant <br />funds for training related to gang enforcement activities. Staff recommends approval of the <br />recommended actions as the grant program positively impacts the community and directly aids in <br />the efforts to reduce gang activities. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The appropriation adjustment will enhance the Police Department's Office of Emergency Services <br />2007 Anti-Gang Initiative Grant Revenue Account (account no. 15514002-52001) by an amount of <br />$3,615 and the expenditure appropriation for Police Department's OES 2007 Expenditure Account <br />(account no. 15514413-62120) by the same. <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br />Paul M.
