ROH - 09/06/11 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011-XXX <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR <br />GRANT FUNDS FOR THE PEPPERDINE UNIVERSITY <br />DAVENPORT INSTITUTE 2011 COMMUNITY <br />ENGAGEMENT GRANT <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines <br />and declares that the 2011 Community Engagement Grant is administered by the <br />Pepperdine University Davenport Institute. The goal of the Community Engagement <br />Grant is to assist cities, and other agencies, in legitimately engaging the public to create <br />solutions to policy issues. <br />Section 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby approves the <br />City's grant application for the Pepperdine University Davenport Institute 2011 <br />Community Engagement Grant and authorizes the City Manager to execute all <br />necessary documents related to the Grant Application, including actions necessary to <br />accept the Grant if approved. <br />Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by <br />the City Council, and the Clerk of the Council shall attest to and certify the vote adopting <br />this Resolution. <br />ADOPTED this day of <br />2011. <br />Miguel A.
