10.9 Family Medical Leave Act. The City shall comply with all applicable provisions of the <br />Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). <br />10.10 Bereavement Leave. <br />A. An employee shall be granted up to three (3) working days' leave of six (6) hours <br />each without loss of pay in case of death of a member of the employee's <br />immediate family. Such leave is designated as bereavement leave. "Immediate <br />family" as used in this section is limited to: <br />1. Any member of the employee's household related by blood or marriage; <br />2. A parent, parent-in-law, stepparent, spouse, child, stepchild, brother, <br />stepbrother, sister, stepsister, grandparent, or grandchild of the employee, <br />regardless of residence; <br />3. Part Time Civil Service employees shall be eligible to participate in <br />the City's medical, dental and vision insurance programs only. Effective July 1, 2006, <br />the City shall contribute $100 per month per employee toward the payment of premiums <br />for medical and dental insurance coverage for employees currently enrolled in the City's <br />insurance program. <br />11.2 Long-Term Disability (L.T.D) Insurance. Effective as soon as practicable following <br />Council approval of this Agreement, the City shall allow employees, for the term of this <br />Agreement, to participate in any aspect of the Plan offered to the City at the City rate. <br />The cost for this benefit shall be borne by the employee. <br />11.3 Life Insurance. Effective as soon as practicable following Council approval of this <br />Agreement, the City shall allow employees, for the term of this Agreement, to participate <br />in any aspect of the plan offered to the City at the City rate.
