June 24, 2011 <br />Dear Julie, <br />Orange County Children's Therapeutic ARTS Center <br />2215 North Broadway Santa Ana, CA. 92706 <br />(714) 547 - 5468 www.occtac.org <br />The Orange County Children's Therapeutic Arts Center would like to request a contract extension for <br />our WIA grant for the fiscal year July 1, 2010 — June 30, 2011. We would like to request a contract <br />extension with 09/30/11 as the contract termination date. <br />This extension of this contract will allow us to finalize youth exists, conduct our follow-ups and provide <br />our youth with all the support services, materials and opportunities needed to be successful in the <br />workforce. <br />More specifically, the remaining funds will be used for the following: a) to pay for staff to prepare youth <br />and conduct all follow-ups and finalize youth exits, b) to pay WIA participants support services and <br />incentives for college career training, and work preparation, such as purchasing some books and supplies <br />for the participants to pay for their certificate programs, college and jobs. Finally, if possible, we would <br />also like to pay for additional training opportunities for both staff and WIA participants. <br />Please see a budget form and narrative in the attachments. Let me know if you have any questions or <br />concerns.
