• <br />TO GOVERNMENT CODE § 6103 <br />EXEMPT FROM FEES PURSUANT <br />TO GOVERNMENT CODE § 6103 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011-02 <br />ROH — 07/07/11 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION <br />NO. 2011-02 TO PLACE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />2109 NORTH HELIOTROPE DRIVE, SANTA ANA, ON THE <br />HISTORICAL REGISTER AND APPROVING HISTORIC <br />REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2011-02 PLACING <br />SAID PROPERTY WITHIN THE KEY CATEGORY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. On April 4, 2011, the Historic Resources Commission held a duly noticed <br />• public hearing for the placement on the Santa Ana Register of Historical <br />Properties (Historic Resources Commission Application No. 2011-02) and <br />categorization (Historic Resources Commission Categorization No. 2011- <br />02) of the Stauffer House, located at 2109 North Heliotrope Drive, Santa <br />Ana. The item was continued to July 7, 2011, due to a lack of quorum. <br />B. The Stauffer House is an architecturally significant building built in 1940 in <br />the Colonial Revival style. Mr. William Stauffer was a regionally significant <br />person for having established the first financial company in Santa Ana and <br />Orange County. <br />C. This home qualifies for listing on the Santa Ana Register of Historical <br />Properties and is eligible for categorization as Key because it possesses <br />"distinctive architectural style and quality" and is associated with Mr. <br />William Stauffer. <br />D. Character defining features of the Stauffer House include massing, <br />fenestration patterns and original wood windows, front porch area, and <br />wood shutters. <br />E. The legal owner of the subject property is Nicola Jane Fleming. <br />F. The legal description for the subject property is attached hereto as Exhibit <br />A and incorporated by this reference as though fully set forth herein. <br />G. The subject property meets the minimal standards for placement on the <br />City of Santa Ana Register of Historic Properties pursuant to Section 30-2 <br />40 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code. <br />Resolution No. 2011-02 <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
