Housing Authority Annual Plan <br />April 16, 2001 <br />Page 2 <br />The enactment of Section 51.1 requires that the Housing Authority review <br />its existing operations and needs on a yearly basis and develop a Tenant <br />Advisory Board comprised of Section 8 participants. The Tenant Advisory <br />Board met in August 2000 and January 2001 to provide input on a survey <br />distributed to all Section 8 participants and 400 applicants. The <br />complete results of the survey as well as other comments from the Tenant <br />Advisory Committee are included in the Annual Plan. The most common <br />areas of interest as indicated on the survey were the need for additional <br />information on home ownership, job opportunities and assistance with <br />utility payments. The survey results were used to develop this year's <br />objectives for the SARA. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. <br />J n P.
