<br />EE~'IN~ ~A`~"E: <br />AUGUST 7. 2000 <br />TI1"~~: <br />~~ua~,~~: ~~~,~t Z <br />~rv ra <br />AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR <br />SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATION SERVICES <br />WITH DANIEL JUAN <br />_~ <br />EXEGLIT'iVE f~II~EG°('~~3 ~~ <br />1 ~~ AT~f <br />~EC~7~$~]l~tG SECRETARY USE ONLY: <br />APPF~OV~I~ <br />As Recommended <br />°I~I~As Amended <br />CONTINUED TO <br />Direct the Authority Attorney to prepare, and authorize the Chairman and <br />the Executive Director to execute an amendment to the agreement for <br />Systems Administration Services with Daniel Juan far $15,000. <br />REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING COMMISSION REC.O.MMENDATZON <br />Recommend that the Housing Authority direat the Authority Attorney to <br />prepare, and authorize the Chairman and the Executive Director to <br />execute an amendment to the agreement for Systems Administration <br />Services with Daniel Juan far $15,000 by a vote of 6:0 (Betancourt and <br />Sotomayor absent). <br />DISCUSSION <br />Since 199"7, the Community Development Agency (CDA} has retained a <br />Systems Support Administrator for the agency's computer network system. <br />Since x.998, Daniel Juan has provided the network maintenance, <br />microcomputer training, as well as technical and software systems <br />support for CDA. Mr. Juan has successfully demonstrated his technical <br />expertise for the .last two years. His ability to develop new databases <br />and provide hardware and software support to the agency remains <br />essential. Due to the various network duties and responsiba.lities <br />required to support the agency systems, staff recommends an amendment to <br />this existing agreement in the amount of $15,000 at a rate of $42/hour <br />for an additional year. Mr. Juan provides computer support services for <br />the entire Community Development Agency, and due to the varied funding <br />sources separate agreements are required for the Housing Authority, <br />Redevelopment Agency and City. <br />' lE <br />
