<br />- <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 99-06 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO THE UNITED STATES <br />DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR ADDITIONAL <br />HOUSING VOUCHERS UNDER THE SECTION 8 HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM <br />IN CONNECTION WITH THE MAINSTREAM HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES FOR <br />PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES PROGRAM AND ACCEPTING AN ALLOCATION OF <br />HOUSING VOUCHERS FROM SAID APPLICATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana <br />(" PHA" ) is authorized to adrninister the" Housing Assistance <br />Program" for the Section 8 Existing Program for the United <br />States Departrnent of Housing and Urban Developrnent (" BUD" ); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, HUD notified the PHA that Section 8 Housing <br />Vouchers in connection with the Mainstrearn Housing Opportunities <br />for Persons with Disabilities prograrn are available which would <br />increase the number of persons of low- and moderate-incorne who <br />rnay be assisted in their housing within the city of Santa Ana; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the additional Section 8 Housing Vouchers are <br />consistent with our Consolidated Plan; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Housing Authority of <br />the City of Santa Ana as follows: <br /> <br />1. The subrnission of an application to the United States <br />Departrnent of Housing and Urban Developrnent for 75 additional <br />Section 8 Vouchers in connection with the Mainstrearn Housing <br />Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities prograrn is hereby <br />approved. <br /> <br />2. The Executive Director of the Housing Authority of the <br />City of Santa Ana is hereby authorized and directed to: <br /> <br />a. Take all necessary steps to file said application and <br />to provide such information as may be required; and <br /> <br />b. Accept an allocation of additional housing vouchers <br />frorn said application and execute all necessary <br />docurnents as may be required. <br /> <br />3. The Secretary is hereby authorized to irnpress the <br />official seal of the PHA on such documents evidencing the <br />
