First Street. The project has continued to <br />operate an interim renewals as a 199-unit rental project specifically <br />designed for elderly, handicapped, or disabled persons. The Department <br />of Housing anal Urban Development (HUD) notified us that on November 2, <br />1998, the Housing Assistance Payments Contract expired and the project <br />has been authorized on a month-to-month basis by HUD since that date. <br />HUD has now provided for renewals of the contract which will authorize <br />payments to the Santa Ana Towers in order to maintain affordability. <br />
