Quarterly Report far Housing Choice Voucher Program: <br />July 2011 -September 2011 <br />November 7, 2011 <br />Page 3 <br />Participant__s <br />At the end of the reporting period, there were 2,547 <br />households receiving rental assistance from the <br />Housing Authority. <br />Chart 3 illustrates participating families, sorted by <br />number of family members. Nearly three-fourths <br />(73%) of families receiving assistance have three or <br />fewer members. <br />The family type of program participants is illustrated <br />in Chart 4. Over half (58%) of participating other <br />households have elderly andlor disabled members. 1°% <br />"other" consists of households that are non-elderly, <br />non-disabled, with no minor children. <br />Chart 5 depicts participants by percentage of <br />Orange County median income.
