Supplier's Name Funding Agreement No. 84 Page 7 of 20 EXHIBIT A STANDARD CONDITIONS ARTICLE A-1. DEFINITIONS Whenever in this Agreement the following terms are used, their meaning shall be as follows unless the context clearly requires otherwise: Agreement -The Funding Agreement to which this Exhibit A "Standard Conditions" is appended. Days--Calendar days unless otherwise expressly indicated. Month--Calendar month unless otherwise expressly indicated. Year--Calendar year unless otherwise expressly indicated. Eligible a Project Costs--Those project costs which are eligible for funding under the Act and applicable State law and implementing criteria. Force Account--The use of Supplier's own employees or equipment on the Project. Grant Amount--The total amount disbursed to Supplier under this Agreement. Public Water System or Public Water Supply System--A system for the provision to the public of water for human consumption, as defined in Part 12, Chapter 4 (commencing with Section 116270), of Division 104 of the Health and Safety Code, as it may be amended. ARTICLE A-2. TERM OF AGREEMENT Subject to the provisions of Article A-7, this Agreement shall become effective on the Date of Execution and shall remain in effect until the Project Completion Date, determined in accordance with the provisions of Article A-S. Such period of time shall be the term of this Agreement. ARTICLE A-3. BASIC CONDITIONS PRECEDENT State shall have no obligation to disburse funds under this Agreement unless and until (a) Supplier has provided satisfactory documentation of the action taken by its governing body authorizing it to enter into this Agreement, and designating a 7 55A-25
