• Tom Flammang, President of Wellington Place Homeowners Association, also <br />commented on proposed relocation of Chivas; concerned with trash and traffic <br />congestion as remarked by the residents of the City of Carson where they are currently <br />located; opposed to project. <br />• Tom Lutz, requested an update on proposed relocation of Chivas USA, have not <br />received update since Memorandum of Agreement approved; noted that petition being <br />circulated to stop relocation to Santa Ana Stadium and Willowick sites. <br />C) Mayor Pro Tern Alvarez noted that Mayor Pulido indicated to her that there was <br />nothing to report on the project. <br />• Herb Rose, opposed to agenda item 19C - the destruction of records; urged the City <br />Council to review documents submitted by those opposed to PBID and reconsider <br />position on disestablishment of PBID/CMD. <br />• Rene Guzman, thanked Councilmembers Benavides, Bustamante, and Sarmiento for <br />resolving street issue in the Mid-City area and wished all Happy Holidays. <br />• Sam Romero, commented on vote in Washington Square neighborhood regarding <br />barricades not constitutional and overturned; opined that the formation of CMD not done <br />properly.' <br />'Prior to approval of the Minutes on December 19, 2011, the City Council requested <br />that the neighborhood association be corrected to reflect French Park instead of <br />Washington Square. <br />• Fina Chavez, commented on need to review Downtown Inc_ budget; urged City Council <br />to disestablish PBID. <br />• Bobi Keenan, reiterated objection to relocation of Chivas USA to Willowick site; <br />requested status on project. <br />• Tixoc Ventero (spoke in Spanish), opposed to proposed transfer of Santa Ana Library to <br />County Library; family has benefitted from education programs offered. <br />• Rob Cook, commented on proposed Ward re-boundary; opined that proposed <br />demographic changes are conservative. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS <br />MOT/ON: Approve Consent Calendar Items 10A through 39A with the following <br />modifications: <br />• Mayor Pro Tern Alvarez recorded a "No" on Item 19C; <br />• Councilmember Martinez pulled Item 20B for separate discussion; and <br />• Councilmember Sarmiento pulled Item 25B for separate discussion. <br />MOTION: Benavides SECOND: Martinez <br />VOTE: AYES: Alvarez, Benavides, Bustamante, Martinez, Sarmiento, <br />Tinajero (6) <br />NOES: None (O) <br />ABSTAIN: None (O) <br />ABSENT: Pulido (1 ) <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 4 DECEMBER 5,201 <br />1
