<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> • Charles Martin, commented that there was a movement against proposal on the <br /> Bike Trail Master Plan; <br /> • Jason Nguyen, spoke in opposition to proposed Bike Trail Master Plan; bird <br /> sanctuary; concerned with other environmental issued is bike trail extended to <br /> Santiago Creek. <br /> • Barbara Russell, concerned with devaluation of property if bike trail extended; clean- <br /> up issues; property acquired through eminent domain; erosion and retaining wall; <br /> City should consider alternative site. <br /> • Phil Schaefer, concerned with environmental and economic impacts of proposed <br /> bike trail along Santiago Creek. <br /> • Cecily Thornton, concerned with home value if bike trail built, and health and welfare <br /> of family members with angst on matter. <br /> • Molly Martin, spoke in support of keeping Santiago Creek as is; natural beauty; <br /> displaced wildlife. <br /> • Debbie McEwen, noted that Sam Romero's comments at pervious City Council <br /> meeting mentioned Washington Square, but should have been French Square; also <br /> noted traffic plan. <br /> o Mayor Pro Tern Alvarez requested notation on Minutes to correct area <br /> referenced. <br /> • Rick Nidermeyer, noted success of soccer event held on December 3 and 4 at <br /> Centennial Park. <br /> <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS <br /> <br /> MOTION: Approve Consent Calendar Items 10A through 25K with the <br /> following modifications: <br /> <br /> • Councilmember Martinez abstained on 25G (due to a campaign <br /> contribution); <br /> • Councilmember Sarmiento pulled Item 22B for separate discussion and <br /> abstained on Item 25J; and <br /> • Mayor Pro Tern Alvarez requested that the Minutes of December 5, 2011 be <br /> amended as requested by Ms. McEwen during public comments. <br /> <br /> MOTION: Tinajero SECOND: Alvarez <br /> <br /> VOTE: AYES: Alvarez, Benavides, Bustamante, Martinez, Pulido, <br /> Sarmiento, Tinajero (7) <br /> <br /> NOES: None (0) <br /> <br /> ABSTAIN: None (0) <br /> <br /> ABSENT: None (0) <br /> Items removed for separate action or modified are highlighted.
