Speakers: <br />Connie Hamilton, asked that the City Council consider the alternative <br />map submitted by Thomas Gordon; would like to see less <br />neighborhood associations with dual City Council representatives. <br />Thomas Gordon, submitted alternative map for Council consideration; <br />attached to the agenda report; seek compromise and asked the City <br />Council to continue to work on boundary lines -maintain population <br />equity and keep neighborhood associations boundaries together- <br />Councilmember Tinajero noted that City Charter requires equal population <br />distribution and Ad Hoc Committee accomplished goal; also neighborhood <br />associations in more than one ward have more representatives they can <br />reach out to; urged City Council to approve proposed ward map.
