Officers are required to re-qualify regularly to <br /> maintain proficiency in the use of firearms. The contract for ammunition is designed to provide <br /> quality products at a significant savings based on quantity pricing. <br /> <br /> The notice inviting bids was advertised on January 18, 2012, and bids were solicited. A summary <br /> of the bid invitations and bids received is as follows: <br /> <br /> 6 Invitations For Bid mailed <br /> 4 Bids received <br /> <br /> Bids were received and opened on January 30, 2012 (Exhibit 1). Vendors were provided the <br /> opportunity to bid on 13 types of ammunition. None of the respondents bid on all 13 items <br /> contained in the invitation. The bids received from Dooley Enterprises Inc., San Diego Police <br /> Equipment, Grace Ammo, LLC and Adamson Police Products are responsive to the <br /> specifications and meets the Police Department's requirements. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 22A-1 <br />
