Set Public Hearing For <br /> CONTINUED TO <br /> FILE NUMBER <br /> CITY MANAGER <br /> <br /> RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br /> Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute the attached agreement <br /> amendment with Service 15t to add maintenance for the fountain at the Santa Ana Regional <br /> Transportation Center, in the annual amount of $3,300 for a total agreement amount not to exceed <br /> $39,990, subject to non-substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br /> <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> <br /> The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency is responsible for the routine maintenance <br /> of the fountains located in the Downtown Civic Center, including the Plaza of the Fountains (three <br /> fountains), Plaza of the Sun, Sasscer Park, and the 2nd Street Mall fountain. On November 7, <br /> 2011, Service 1St was awarded the contract to maintain these six fountains. This amendment adds <br /> the Santa Ana Regional Transportation Center fountain to this service contract. The previous <br /> contractor servicing the Transportation Center fountain is no longer in business. <br /> <br /> The two-year agreement expires December 31, 2013 and includes a provision that allows the City <br /> to extend the agreement for two additional two-year terms. The original agreement is for $30,690. <br /> This amendment includes $3,300 for the Transportation Center fountain and a $6,000 contingency <br /> for unanticipated work on all seven fountains, bringing the new agreement not to exceed amount to <br /> $39,990. <br /> <br /> <br /> i <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 2501-1 <br />
