Only the <br />viewauie space ww <br />The program provides free bilingual after - school homework help in all school subjects by offering tutoring services to all <br />Santa Ana students In grades K -12 at the two library sites (Main Library and Newhope Library) and now Jerome Center. <br />Tutors worts with Individual students to help them understand and complete homework assignments, as well as assisting <br />students who are having difficulties with basic reading and math skips. Students receive personal attention and <br />encouragement in a friendly and supportive envlronment, thereby developing a love of learning that enables them to <br />improve their own academic success. <br />The program provides: <br />Free homework help for all Santa Ana students (K -12 grade), particularly targeting students enrolled in schools under <br />the Title I program; <br />• Qualified bilingual tutors; <br />Access to computers and the Internet to fill the technological gap between schools and homes; <br />• Interactive academic enhancement through educational software; <br />• Computer Workshops on various topics, Creative Writing Workshops, Buddy Programs, College and Career Guidance <br />Programs and mentoring opportunities <br />Operation Hours: <br />Main Library Learning Center/TeenSpace: Monday- Thursday: 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday: 42:00 p.m. to 4,00 p.m. <br />Newhope Learning CenterfreenSpace: Monday- Thursday: 2:08 p.m. to 7 :00 p.m. Saturday: 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. <br />Jerome Center TeenSpace Hours: Monday- Thursday: 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday: 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. <br />Jerome Center Computer Lab Hours: Monday - Thursday: 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday: 3 ;00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. <br />*Note: Extended hours not listed and hours may vary. <br />Total hours of operation between all sites: Approximately 140 hours perweek. <br />Learning Centers, Teenspac:e and Jerome Computer Lab are open 52 weeks, a total of 8,252 hours a year. <br />Between July 2009 and June 2010, the program provided 2,402 tutoring sessions'and 31,864 computer sessions. <br />Schedule of Performance <br />Estimate the number of unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served by the funded program during the 12 -month <br />contract period per quarter.
