Report on GHG Inventory <br />and CAP Process <br />March 5, 2012 <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />Each of the programs or measures will be evaluated by: <br />• GHG reduction potential <br />• Cost - effectiveness <br />• Availability of funding and staff resources <br />• Political support and feasibility <br />• Co- benefits for other programs and priorities <br />Public involvement is vital to the success of this CAP. Outreach includes providing an overview of <br />the process to the community and key stakeholders to generate ideas and solicit feedback. <br />Spanish and Vietnamese translators will be present. Also, a CAP webpage is being developed <br />and will be live in early March. A resident survey will be linked to the page for those who are not <br />able to attend community meetings and want to provide input. <br />The upcoming events to begin gathering community input are scheduled for March 27 and 28, <br />respectively: <br />First Community Meeting — Residents and the general public will be invited to learn about <br />and participate in the process of creating the CAP and discuss the greenhouse gas <br />emissions inventory. <br />Stakeholder Meetings — Four separate stakeholder groups will be invited to participate in <br />the CAP and will include: City commissions and committees, businesses, architects and <br />builders, and other interest groups. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. <br />� r -_ <br />Raul Godinez I <br />Executive Direc r <br />Public Works Agency <br />RG /CK <br />Exhibit 1: GHG Inventory and CAP Summary <br />19E -3 <br />
