Huizar, Maria
From: Eric Scandrett <emscandrett@aol.com>
Sent: Tuesday, January 17, 2012 4:27 PM
To: Huizar, Maria
Cc: connieh2002@earthlink.net
Subject: Redrawing of Boundries in Santa Ana
To: Clerk of The Court:
I want to express my great disappointment with the new ward boundaries that the City Council is preparing to vote on
tonight. These were drawn up "in secrete" and that is just not right. Santa Ana has a record of supporting all the many
neighborhood associations most of the time but certainly not in this case!
I do not believe there can be any pluses in drawing up boundaries that split neighborhood associations and especially
without any input from those associations before they are voted on by the City Council.
A so-called "education campaign" is not the same as "building policy from the ground up" which would allow those who
are going to be directly affected to have a voice.
Thank you for allowing my input, even at this late date.
Sincerely,
Eric Scandrett
Morrison Park
11A
