<br />Pao", o <br />C' Pik GF COJNCIL <br />DATE: 12NI -z- <br />125 <br />r(/4/_ <br />AGREEMENT FOR LEGAL SERVICES <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day <br />ofDeCery,L _V 1991, by and between the City of Santa Ana, a <br />municipal corporation of the State of California ("CITY"), and <br />Richard Politiski, Esq.("ATTORNEY"). <br />W I T N E S S E T H <br />Recitals: <br />1. CITY desires to employ an attorney to assist the Personnel <br />Board as legal advisor for hearings before the Board. <br />2. ATTORNEY is licensed to practice law in the State of <br />California. <br />WHEREFORE, for and in consideration of their respective and <br />mutual covenants and agreements hereinafter contained, and subject <br />to all the terms and conditions hereof, the parties hereto do <br />hereby agree as follows: <br />A. EMPLOYMENT OF ATTORNEY <br />CITY hereby agrees to and does employ ATTORNEY, for the fees <br />hereinafter specified, to assist the Personnel Board of the City, <br />when and as requested by said Personnel Board in accordance with <br />their approved Rules of Procedure. ATTORNEY accepts said employment <br />and agrees to perform, in a timely and efficient manner, all of <br />such services as may be requested by the Personnel Board. <br />B. PAYMENT FOR SERVICES RENDERED <br />CITY agrees to pay to ATTORNEY, and ATTORNEY agree to accept, <br />as and for payment in full for all of said services, a fee equal to <br />the reasonable value of said services, determined at the rate of <br />sixty-five dollars ($65.00) per hour, provided, however, the total <br />fees payable hereunder for such services shall not exceed ten- <br />thousand dollars ($10,000) in any fiscal year without approval of <br />the City Council of city. <br />
