Request for Appropriation Adjustment <br />PROP 69 - DNA Collections. <br />May 7, 2012 <br />Page 2 <br />Management of the now 5,000 crime scene DNA submissions remains tedious in nature and further <br />includes the intricate tracking of DNA cold hit notification and due diligence, as well as the potential <br />for John Doe Warrant candidates. The Forensic Services Section is also responsible for the <br />purchase of all consumables related to crime scene DNA collection for the entire police department. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Approval of the appropriation with the acceptance of Prop 69 funds and transfer of funds available in <br />the City's Police Special Revenue Account (account #02414002-57000) in the amount of $16,365, <br />will increase the same into the Police Department Special Revenue - General expenditure account <br />(account no.02414400-various). <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br />0 L--- <br />Paul M.
