Award a Contract for Variable Frequency Drive and Motor Control Center Upgrades <br />May 7, 2012 <br />Page 2 <br />A notice inviting bids was advertised on March 12, 2012, and bids were solicited. A Summary of <br />the bid invitations and bid received is as follows: <br />19 Invitations for Bid mailed <br />1 Invitation for Bid mailed to a Santa Ana vendor <br />6 Bids received <br />The bids were received, opened on March 28, 2012 and evaluated (Exhibit 1). The bids received <br />from Carter Industrial, Inc., Academy Electric, Inc. and F.M. Electric, Inc. are responsive to the <br />specifications and meet the City's requirements.
