Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute the attached agreement <br /> amendment with Merchants Building Maintenance in the amount of $92,823 for park <br /> restroom janitorial service in Districts 1 and 2, subject to non-substantive changes approved <br /> by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br /> 2_ Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute the attached agreement <br /> amendment with Bell Building Maintenance Company in the amount of $76,389 for park <br /> restroom janitorial service in Districts 3 and 4, subject to non-substantive changes approved <br /> by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency currently divides the City into four <br /> separate park maintenance districts. For the past four years, Merchants Building Maintenance <br /> has been performing park restroom janitorial service in Districts 1 and 2 and has been performing <br /> well. Staff is proposing a two-year agreement amendment with Merchants Building Maintenance <br /> to continue janitorial service in Districts 1 and 2. The annual base contract cost is $84,384_ An <br /> additional $8,439 contingency is included for unforeseen emergencies, resulting in a total annual <br /> contract amount of $92,823_ <br /> The park restrooms in Districts 3 and 4 are serviced by Bell Building Maintenance. Staff is <br /> proposing a two-year agreement amendment with Bell Building Maintenance to continue janitorial <br /> service in Districts 3 and 4. The annual base contract cost is $69,444. An additional $6,945 <br /> contingency is included for unforeseen emergencies, resulting in a total annual contract amount <br /> of $76,389. <br /> 25A-1 <br />
