<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Iss5/9/12 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2012- <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF <br /> PROJECTS TO ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION <br /> AUTHORITY FOR FUNDING UNDER THE MEASURE M2 <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL CLEANUP PROGRAM <br /> <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, <br /> determines and declares as follows: <br /> <br /> A. The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) has <br /> authorized Measure M2 Environmental Cleanup Program (ECP) <br /> funding, for projects which help to protect Orange County beaches <br /> and waterways from transportation-generated pollution (urban <br /> runoff) and improve overall water quality; and <br /> <br /> B. The OCTA Tier 1 Grant Program provides funds for the purchase <br /> and installation of catch basin screens, filters, inserts and "street- <br /> scale" low flow diversion projects, consistent with Best <br /> Management Practices; and <br /> <br /> C. The City of Santa Ana has the authority to nominate water quality <br /> improvement projects which have a transportation pollution nexus, <br /> for ECP funding; and <br /> <br /> D. The projects included in the Santa Ana Citywide Catch Basin <br /> Screen Installation Project are eligible projects for Measure M2 <br /> Environmental Cleanup Program, Tier 1 funding; and <br /> <br /> E. The City will provide matching funds for each project as required by <br /> the Comprehensive Transportation Funding Programs Procedures <br /> Manual. <br /> <br /> <br /> Section 2: The City Council of the City of Santa Ana nominates the <br /> following projects: <br /> <br /> Maple Street Storm Drain <br /> Santa Ana Gardens Channel <br /> Greenville Banning Channel <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 55A-8 <br />
