Chief Walters: <br /> <br /> On April 17, 2012, the Orange County Board of Supervisors approved the subject MOU, as the form to be used <br /> by the Chief Probation Officer to enter into individual MOUs with Cities. Pursuant to that delegated authority, <br /> enclosed are four originals of the MOU between the City of Santa Ana and the County of Orange for: <br /> (a) your signature; <br /> (b) attestation by the City Clerk; and <br /> (c) approval by the City Attorney. <br /> You may keep two originals of the fully executed MOU, and return the other two to: <br /> <br /> Orange County Probation Department <br /> North County Field Services Office (NCFSO) <br /> 1535 E. Orangewood Avenue <br /> Anaheim, CA 92805 <br /> Attention: Estela Anaya, Contracts Development Manager <br /> <br /> The MOU is effective retroactively from October 1, 2011, through June 30, 2012. As also authorized by the <br /> Orange County Board of Supervisors, the Chief Probation Officer will renew individual MOUs with Cities for <br /> succeeding 12-month periods of July 1-June 30 on the same terms and conditions as this initial MOU, subject to: <br /> (i) state appropriation for the continuing implementation of AB 109; (ii) acceptance of the state appropriation by <br /> the Orange County Board of Supervisors; and (c) allocations of the state appropriation to local resources and <br /> needs, including enhanced municipal law enforcement services, as approved by the Orange County Community <br /> Corrections Partnership Executive Committee.
